Jaishankar (S Jaishankar) had a meeting with China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi for about an hour in Bali on Thursday. During this, Jaishankar conveyed to his Chinese counterpart the need for early resolution of all pending issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh and stressed that bilateral relations should be based on mutual respect, mutual sensitivity and mutual interests. Shinzo Abe dies, Japan's state media confirms

  After the deadly attack on former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe , Japanese state media has confirmed that he has died. Earlier, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida had described the attack on Abe as a "disgusting act". He said the motive of the attacker was not yet known but its connection with the ongoing election campaign could not be ruled out. Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has said that Abe's condition is critical. Kishida said , "I am praying from the bottom of my heart that Abe gets well. I condemn this attack in the strongest terms. Such violence has no place in a democracy." During an emotional speech in the capital Tokyo, Fumio Kishida said, "Elections are on. I will do whatever I can, and I would like to use as many strong words as I can to condemn this attack." He said that the attack on Shinzo Abe cannot be forgiven.
