  After the deadly attack on former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe , Japanese state media has confirmed that he has died. Earlier, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida had described the attack on Abe as a "disgusting act". He said the motive of the attacker was not yet known but its connection with the ongoing election campaign could not be ruled out. Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has said that Abe's condition is critical. Kishida said , "I am praying from the bottom of my heart that Abe gets well.
